On Thursday, March 7th, we suddenly lost our beloved, "Dr. B" Robert Briggerman. He had been battling an illness that was diagnosed in November and although his condition had recently improved, he took a turn for the worst last week and ultimately died of heart failure. The hole left in our hearts is enormous.

Robert was affectionately known to his students, their families and the Los Alamitos Unified School District family as "Dr. B". He was an inspiring human being who did not know a stranger and went out of his way to make sure others needs were met before his own. He was a true champion for children and his legacy will live on through those who were blessed to know him. His career as an educator began long before he joined Los Alamitos originally as a Spanish teacher at LAHS, then an assistant principal at McAuliffe Middle School, principal at Lee Elementary and for the past three years the beloved principal of Weaver Elementary.

Due to the overwhelming response of Robert's family, friends, colleagues and his beloved students families who are eager to help at this time, we have set up an account to help ease his partner Nate's  immediate  financial worries.  This fund will help with planning Robert's Celebration of Life and other unexpected expenses.
