This is Tikka she is Belgian Malinois mix. She is the sweetest most gentle dog I have ever owned. She was rescued from the streets of Richmond CA by my son who was a Police Officer there at the time. After going through hard times myself I felt I could use a good companion. I got Tikka when she was just a few months old and she has been my best friend ever since. She loves to run free on the 30 acres we live on and has really come alive since being home with me.

A few weeks ago I notice something was not right with Tikka. She was coughing and having a hard time breathing. I took her to the ER vet and was told she had inhaled a foxtail.

The foxtail it is now making its way through Tikka's lung and will continue to make its way through her body until it exits through the skin. The Doctor advised that there is a good chance the foxtail could travel through her stomach or intestines causing major issues or end up killing her.

At this point the vet bill is at $12,000 that I can't cover PLUS the real possibility of an extra $10,000 if we move forward with surgery. To be honest the old me growing up on a farm would have put her down but I love her so much I could not do that. Please help me save my baby girl!
