Hello, everyone. This is Sarah’s oldest daughter. As many of you know, my mom suffers from several heart conditions, one of those being an aortic valve aneurysm. Recently, she went in for an ablation to fix her A-Fib. However, due to the severity of her aortic aneurysm, they could not perform the surgery safely. They have scheduled an extensive open heart surgery with bypass for July 17th. While this will fix all of her heart conditions, she will be out of work for 3 months most likely.

My mother works two jobs — at the Stonington bank and Casey’s, typically working 16-hour days to support her family. My father is disabled and on a fixed income. With little PTO to utilize, my parents are facing the reality of being unable to pay their bills and put food on the table.

Any support helps at this moment. My parents love their friends in and around this community. We are not a family that asks for help, but this time we have to. While we plan to be strong throughout this journey, we cannot make it to the other side alone.
