Kaitlyn Banks began her track career as a participant in the long jump, triple jump, 200mm relay, 100mm relay, and the 4x100mm relay divisions this year for Annie Camp Jr. High School. She received medals for 1st and 2nd place in each of these events, at each track meet, including the High Point award for being the highest scoring female at a track meet. She finished the year at Annie Camp as the first 7th grader ever to receive the Most Outstan ding Athlete award in track and field.
Kaitlyn then joined the AAU Arkansas Sonic Boom Track Club, and again continued to receive 1st and 2nd place honors in the 100mm relay, 200mm relay, triple jump and 4x100mm relay on both state and regional levels this summer. Her hard work and dedication has paid off and Kaitlyn has placed 1st place in the triple jump and the 4x100mm relay at regionals, qualifying her to participate on a national level in the Jr. Olympics, August 3-8th in Norfolk, VA.
Your support and prayers are much needed and appreciated towards this once in a lifetime opportunity to bring home a Jr. Olympic medal. We thank you in advance for your support, prayers, and encouragement!
