Help Lizbeth Fight Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
As of August 2022, Lizbeth started having pain in her lower back. She visited her primary doctor multiple times and he dismissed it by saying “this is probably a back sprain from working out.” As the months continued, Lizbeth saw multiple doctors and specialists. While no answers were found, her pain grew more unbearable prompting her to go to the emergency department twice. Lizbeth knew there was something much more concerning than just a back sprain. The last specialist she saw, sent her to the ER to be tested for a possible pulmonary embolism, but instead of finding that, the source of all her back pain was found.
Unfortunately stage 4 metastatic cancer.
Her cancer is currently in both of her lungs, liver, bone and there's gynecological involvement as well. She is currently being seen at Geisinger Danville where a PET scan and biopsy were reviewed and the results did not reveal the primary site of her cancer. As of now, the source is thought to be a rare neuroendocrine neoplasm that has spread. Treatment has not been started and she will undergo further testing in the next 2 weeks in hopes of finding the primary source.
For the people who may not know Lizbeth. She graduated in 2018 from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. After graduation, she worked as a sales representative and just last year started a new job at a university as part of the Undergraduate Transfer Credit Team. While at Bloomsburg she was involved in Greek life, and society for the advancement of management. She volunteered and fund-raised money for women in underdeveloped countries as well as Relay for Life, an event for cancer survivors and current fighters. Not knowing she will be joining the same fight years later.
But that’s not all of Lizbeth.
She’s a daughter, friend, cousin, and my sister. She’s the light when she enters a room. She’s the person you go to when you need advice, a good cry, and a hard laugh. She’s strong, adventurous, loving, and deserves the best medical treatment. Help my sister fulfill her dreams to see the world. Help her see next year and the next 50+ years to come.
It will not be an easy journey and she will need all your support and prayers to overcome this. Be a part of the fight, let's spread the word and positivity.
