Lauren, Sheldon & Neo (SnL) have been through more this year than any family should ever have to face. Lauren’s mother’s shocking glioblastoma diagnosis, the sudden loss of Sheldon’s father, and then Lauren’s urgent major surgery, followed by unexpected and ongoing medical complications, and even her mom's passing while Lauren was still hospitalized, have created an overwhelming amount of stress and hardship for the Powell family.

All of this has placed a heavy emotional and financial strain on Lauren, Sheldon, and their son Neo as they navigate their grief and recovery, while moving into the holidays. Beyond the major medical expenses, Lauren’s missed work during her unpaid leave and the extraordinary, unexpected costs that unfolded throughout the year have made it impossible to sustain financial stability through the end of 2025.
