We lost everything in a flood

Hi, my name is Ashley and on Monday August 7th myself, my fiance and our 5 children, experienced a severe flood in our home. The creek behind our house overflowed and the sewer drains backed up due to heavy rains. The water started to pour in our house at about 8pm and did not stop until the following morning.

Our house took on about 2 feet of water at its deepest point. Everything on our 1st floor was ruined including living room furniture, tvs, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, book shelves, books... dozens of pairs of shoes, all carpet and linoleum and 5 feet of wall.

We have been displaced to our upstairs bedrooms and a bathroom.

We lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, we cannot cook and I have 5 children I need to provide a safe and stable home for.

Being a renter for 8 years here I did have renters insurance through State Farm, however floods are not covered. The insurance adjustors just left and informed us nothing is covered. This Go Fund Me is our last hope. I do not want to do this. I do not want to ask for help but I've had to bury my pride and ask.

In 2 weeks I'm going into the hospital for major surgery related to 2 large masses found in my uterus. At that point I am out of options. My recovery will be 4 to 6 weeks. I am incredibly afraid what this loss will do to our family.
