The Mason Family

Since late February, life has been turned upside down for Paul, Rophe, Elias and Celeste. With what started as a sick visit for constipation has turned into a kidney removal and a 25 week chemo plan.

As Elias' surgical and oncology teams have been projecting, the tumor in Elias' kidney was found to be a "Wilms Tumor" , stage 3, and by nature, cancerous.   As with most Wilms Tumors, the histology is favourable - Roughly 90% survival rate with a similar outlook on living a completely normal life thereafter.

Paul and Rophe are thankful for their jobs that allow them to work remotely from the waiting room at the Jimmy Fund Clinic...We don’t know exactly what’s to come, but lots of waiting, meds and patience... Those things along with the additional childcare for Celeste, parking and although short, back and forth to and from the clinic will add up quickly.

If you know The Masons, you know that normally they are the ones giving of their time and resources to love on others. But there's a time to give and a time to receive, so we would love to see their community help out in a few ways:

1) Financial Giving - it wasn't easy for me to convince them to post this, but small costs will add up quickly.

2) Prayer - If you aren't compelled to give financially please pray for the Masons.
Specifically that Elias has no symptoms and residual effects from the chemo. That his body is 100% clear from cancer cells.

3) Your time- if you're local or want to take a trip to Boston, I am sure Celeste and Grouper would appreciate the extra hands as so much time will be spent care taking. Also, maybe watch the kids so Paul and Rophe can get in a date night or lunch date to reconnect.

We know that Christ works all things together for good, and as we support the Masons in this season we are trusting in God and his promises for healing and restoration for Elias.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
