***Update. .. The entire Domstead family and Deckwa family are completely humbled by the fast response of all our amazing friends. We know many of you still want to donate and I have been receiving many messages asking since we reached the goal if you still can. After discussing this and having already received bills for lab tests and the PET scans we have decided to up the limit to get these bills paid for and out of the way. Thanks for all the blessings. Hi everyone-
Here is Timi's story-
On June 18 we were informed that Timi had cervical cancer and scheduled to have a PET scan to make sure it was contained and a hysterectomy would take care of it. After the scan we were then informed that it had spread to the lymph nodes. We took this set back in stride as they told us at this time it was only stage 2. After meeting with a different Gynecological Oncologist and Radiation Oncologist we recieved the devestating news that it was upgraded to stage 4. We have an AMAZING team of Dr's and are assured this is not only beatable but cureable.
Here is why we need help..... We need to be quick and aggressive with treatment. Timi will start treatment July 13th. She will undergo 6 weeks of radiation 5 days a week. The last 2-3 weeks of this will be internal radiation with high doses. She will also be recieving Chemo once a week during this time. This treatment is going to be very grueling on Timi's small frame. She will be unable to work for most of this treatment as she works with small children. We need help with medical bills which are already in the tens of thousands and household expenses.
