Grace and peace to all of you. My name is Pastor Adam Reinhardt and I am starting this GoFundMe for a family in my community who has found themselves on difficult times.

This beautiful family consists of three generations living together on their family homestead: Karen, her son Sam, and her granddaughter, Sam's daughter, Mackenzie.

Recently Sam was diagnosed with degenerative liver disease, leading to multiple hospitalizations and and leaving him unable to work since November of '24, causing his 58 year old mother Karen, who struggles with many health issues of her own, to be the sole provider for the household and primary caregiver of her teenage granddaughter.

Karen is a remarkable person. She has been resilient and courageous in the face of her own illnesses, lovingly caring for her son and helping him raise her granddaughter, and still somehow finding the time and energy to serve her church. She works two labor intensive part-time jobs and is currently seeking full-time employment. Despite taking every shift possible, between bills, taxes, and and treatment costs, she has had a difficult time making ends meet.

To make matters worse, Karen recently lost her car, which is her only means to get to work, to critically important doctors' appointments, to physical therapy, and to Mack's extracurricular school events. Her family, neighbors, and her church have rallied to help provide her transportation, but she really needs a new vehicle.

Our church is doing what we can to support them, but the need is great. If this family cannot find a way to pay their property taxes they could lose their family's homestead, which has been in their family for generations. If Karen cannot find a way to buy a car, she will be unable to pursue a better paying and more fulfilling career path.

Please give what you can to help us meet our goal, which will enable Karen to buy a car and pay her bills, giving the whole family a hand-up, setting them on a path to a better and more secure future. And, if you're the praying type, please say a prayer for Karen, Sam, and Mack.
