Hello, my name is Chante and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times of my life. I am a mother of two young children, a toddler and a 10-year-old, and I am currently pregnant and scheduled to be induced on the 21st. Unfortunately, we are also facing eviction on the 18th and are struggling to find a safe place to go.

I’ve been doing everything I can to secure assistance. I’ve reached out to Wayne Metro, Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, local churches, and DHS. Although DHS approved us for $740, I am still required to pay the remaining balance to avoid eviction, and I just don’t have the resources right now.

My goal is simple: to keep my children and soon-to-arrive newborn together and safe in a stable environment. With the holidays approaching, I’m determined to give them comfort and security, despite the overwhelming circumstances.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping us have somewhere safe and warm to lay our heads and potentially securing a storage unit for our belongings.
