Dennis Marklands Believe Team
As most well know, Dennis left us on July 14th.
We BELIEVE he is very much at peace, and is
floating above us, as the Angel we all knew him as!
His family would like to thank each and
everyone who reached out and supported Den Den and his family. Every card, donation, meal, video hug, and friendly gesture did not go
unnoticed.
His 3 beautiful boys are young but very strong boys and with the support of all Den’s family
and friends, they will stay strong and their
Daddy will live on in them.

Hello everyone
Many people have been asking us how to help
out with Dennis’s boys or his family. I have
spoken with his sister Jackie, and she agreed
that even though Dennis had requested no
donations he would be just fine with us sending a donation for his boys as we all know that they were the center of his world. Jackie will keep
the Go Fund Me open for Dennis’s sons for
another 2 weeks so please direct your
donations there. I know how much Dennis
meant to so many people. The Go Fund Me was set up by Dennis’s Believe Team and we believe that Dennis would be so very grateful of this

Dennis Markland is one of the most humble, and authentic people that many of us have the privilege to call our friend. He is the amazing father of 3 beautiful boys, a loving partner to Edgar, a devoted son, and his siblings would say the best brother you could find. Dennis has spent his life helping others and has tirelessly advocated for the rights of people with intellectual disabilities in our community. As Dennis's work family we have been graced with his kindness, compassion, and his sense of humor which have carried us all through the best of times and many challenges.
This past September, our dear friend and colleague was diagnosed with Stage 4 Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma cancer, which has spread throughout his body in his bones, as well as spots on his liver, which means he is not a candidate for surgery. Traditional chemotherapy treatments are not proving to be effective.
We need to help Dennis raise funds for two reasons. First, so that Dennis can register with Foundation One through Kingston Health Sciences Center. This precision treatment will focus on the genetic fingerprint of each individual cancer and hopefully will match Dennis to one of over 800 potential treatments.
Secondly, funds will be used for Dennis to receive treatment through the Immunity Treatment Center in Mexico. The center supports patients with different therapies that are focused on restoring the body's health so that it can concentrate on recognizing and fighting the disease and let the body do what it was designed to do, which is heal.
Since the beginning of his diagnosis, Dennis, along with his family, his friends, and his work family, have "believed" that the right treatment is out there for him. In our opinion, there is no other option. Our mantra with Dennis has been "Believe."
So please let us come together to help Dennis raise the funds needed so that the treatment we all know and believe is out there can be found. Whatever gift you can give will be appreciated and will make a difference. Become a part of "Team Believe." 
Dennis's Community Living Family are supporting this fundraiser. Dennis's sister Jackie Markland will be the fund manager, and have full responsibility for the disbursement of the funds to assist Dennis with his treatment plans.
