Kerry Patrick O'Donoghue unexpectedly took his own life on August 22, 2019, leaving behind his wife, Suzy, teenage daughter, Alida, and many, many other loved ones.
Ever the strong, silent type, Kerry took upon himself all the pressures and expectations of providing for his family as well as running the family business. Unfortunately, gripped by depression, shame, and pride, Kerry couldn’t find a way to tell those who loved him most that the family business had taken a turn for the worse and decided instead to end his life. With their patriarch’s sudden passing, the family is left scrambling to cope with a terribly tragic loss as well as financial dire straits.
Kerry was a fun, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, friend, and businessman. He loved making people happy more than anything else in the world. He was the master of turning lemons into lemonade, and no one could leave his presence without a smile on their face. Kerry was the glue that held his family together. He was known for sharing his home to host relaxing BBQs or Steelers game parties. No matter what the occasion or venue, you would always find Kerry enjoying conversation and laughter with friends and family; he was truly an amazing people person.
Like a great book with a disappointing ending, Kerry’s death has left his family confused and sad. They need help not only handling the arrangements of his passing but also finding a way to make ends meet. Donations of all types are welcome.
