Hello everyone, my name is Meka. I am a school teacher, a college student, and now—someone fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
I was diagnosed with cancer in September 2025 and began chemotherapy in October 2025. Even while facing this diagnosis, I am still showing up for my students, managing my college classes, and doing my best to keep life as stable as possible. Balancing treatment, work, and school has been extremely challenging, but I am pushing through with strength and faith.
Chemotherapy, hospital visits, and the physical and emotional toll of this cancer have brought unexpected financial stress. Even though I continue to work, the medical costs are more than I can handle alone.
Your support will help me with:
Medical bills & hospital visits
Chemotherapy costs
Daily living expenses (rent, food, utilities)
I created this GoFundMe to ease the heavy financial pressure that comes with fighting cancer, so I can stay focused on healing while still caring for my students and completing my education.
Any amount you give — small or large — truly makes a difference.
If you’re unable to donate, please pray for me and share my fundraiser. Your love, support, and encouragement give me strength every single day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with me as I fight Hodgkin’s Lymphoma with strength, courage, and faith.
Love,
Meka McLean
