On August 4, our family’s life was turned upside down by a tragic accident. We’re both heart broken, and grateful she is still here.

My younger sister, Kelsey Johnson, was involved in a fatal car accident. It was the kind of phone call that instantly rewrites the day—and everything after.

Kelsey survived but sustained serious injuries. She’s undergone multiple surgeries, and suffered a brain bleed and several broken bones. She remains in critical but stable condition, and while the road ahead will be long, doctors are hopeful she’ll make a full recovery.

Kelsey is more than a wife, mom, and nurse—she is a light to everyone she meets. As a pastor’s wife to Jeremy and mother of five, she lives a life of deep faith, constant compassion, and wholehearted service. She has a gift for making others feel seen, known, and loved—the kind of person who remembers what matters to you.

Would it be a ridiculous idea to surround them with the same kind of love Kelsey has always shown others?

We’ve launched this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden as her family steps into this unexpected and difficult season.
