For those who don't know the full story.  Julia and I had a daughter on 12/15 as our first child.  On January 11th, when our daughter was 4 weeks old, Julia suffered a large stroke and was airlifted to an area hospital.

She underwent a mechanical thrombectomy which was successful in restoring some circulation to her brain.  The next night I received a call saying Julia's brain was swelling and they would need to remove her skull to allow the brain to swell (crainiectomy).  The operation was successful and life saving.

Screenings found the cause of the stroke to be vegetation that had liberated from an infected heart valve.  Julia had bacteria in her blood (believed to be from the C-section) that cause in infection in her aortic valve which destroyed it.

Julia was placed on antibiotics and scheduled for heart surgery to replace the infected heart valve.  That surgery was also successful.

Unfortunately due to the bacteria in her blood and the bleeding caused by the stroke, Julia's brain became infected.  This ultimately lead to another surgery to clear out the infection by removing affected portions of the brain.

Additionally, Julia got pneumonia from being on a respirator for so long.  To make it easier to breath she was given a tracheostomy and a PEG tube for feeding.

On February 20th, Julia was discharged from the ICU and is currently at a good acute rehab facility.

As of writing, she is still unable to move her right arm or right leg.  Is still on antibiotics.  Her skull has not been replaced yet.  And is having difficulty with memory and dates/ numbers.

On the bright side she is able to talk (tracheostomy is in place but capped) and eating soft diced foods and thick liquids with supplemental tube feedings.

Overall she was in the ICU for over a month and will be in rehab for much longer, with an unsure outcome of what disabilities she may have.  Our daughter is 3 months old and she is missing the joys of seeing her first year and bonding with her.

Our daughter recently started daycare and seems to be doing well.

Many have asked how they can help or if I had a go fund me.  I set this up, because I want to do everything I can for her and our daughter.

I set an arbitrary goal with no expectations of meeting it.  Any amount of financial support would help.  Any donations would go towards whatever my wife and daughter need.  Medical bills, child care, clothing, formula, etc.

Due to unknown future handicaps and us currently in a small apartment that is not handicapped accessible, I am also starting the search for a house that is accessible and can be modified to whatever Julia's needs may be.  If by the grace of God a significant amount is raised, it would be used toward the purchase of the house/ modifications.

I thank everyone for their support, and if you can't donate please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
