Mike was diagnosed with a rare cancer, clear cell sarcoma, in the beginning of September 2020. The cancer is in Mike’s lower right leg, he is currently undergoing treatment.

The Authier family, as well as Mike, need to be able to focus on his course of treatment during the foreseeable future. The Go Fund Me has been created in order to allow the family the ability to center their efforts on Mike and his treatment, while also affording them the ability to maintain a normal household for the girls.

If you know Mike, you know he has an infectious smile and contagious laughter. He is a hard working family man who works tirelessly to support his family. Mike makes you want to scream, “yo Mikey!”

Many friends and family members have expressed a deep desire to serve the family during this delicate time. As the course of treatment develops, there will be updates given. Please pray for Mike, his family and his team of doctors and nurses.

#prayformike has been created by a group of friends and family members to raise money for the Authier family. Audrey Whitworth Hobbs, Jackie Priest and Amanda Hernandez are all friends from Mike's hometown, Weatherford, Texas.  Monica Smith and Paige Smith are Lauren's sisters from Anahuac, Texas, Lauren's hometown. In order to remain transparent, our team wants all donors to know, Lauren Authier is the beneficiary to all monies donated. The donations will go to cover any and or all expenses incurred in the future.
