Moving - Urgent

Hello everyone. My name is Elizabeth, and we urgently need to move out of California.

A few of you already know the situation, but I will repeat it here. We've been attempting to save up to move as much as we possibly can, but something will happen (an unexpected vet bill, the windshield having a rock yeeted through it, a surprise medical bill, etc.), and our savings will be gone. Add in a pay decrease for house finances, an increase in gas prices to almost $7 a gallon with a half an hour commute to and from work, and an increase in rent despite the place we live being a nest for cockroaches and rats (seriously, every single tree in our complex is dead and full of holes to nest in) we cannot afford to stay where we are.

Which leads us to a fun loop; we cannot afford to stay, but we cannot currently afford to leave.

Currently, we are attempting to move to the east coast where we will be able to afford things and our dollar stretches a bit more than it does here. Any little bit helps. I hate to ask this of anyone. It isn't fair to put any of this on you guys. I've never been this terrified that I might be homeless before but...well here we are.
