CARE FOR CAREBEAR!!!

Please meet Cary Larson Hamilton. Most of her friends refer to her as CareBear, which could not be a more fitting name for a woman who portrays so much kindness, good-heartedness, and humbleness despite her debilitating Multiple Sclerosis (MS) condition. Cary first found out she had MS when she was 38 years old. Cary is now 61 years old. Cary's situation has become increasingly worse through the years, resulting in her being bedridden with only limited use of her right hand.

Cary and her husband, Terry, currently have help from Catholic Charities with in-home caregiving for approximately 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Catholic Charities has been a blessing. However, additional caregiving is needed since Terry works full-time. Terry, along with family members and friends, has tried to seek further assistance through Medicaid, Social Security, and other government programs to no avail. The cost of caregiving is exorbitant and an impossible expense for Terry.

My name is Sherry Gutkowski, and I have been part of the Larson family for eight years. This fundraiser is being used to raise money to help Cary and Terry get the help they need to have full-time caregivers during Terry's working hours, physical therapy, and other necessary medical treatment. In addition, funds may help improve their living conditions. Glenn Larson, Cary's brother, will be the fundraiser's beneficiary since he is managing the donations on Cary and Terry's behalf. Please help CARE FOR CAREBEAR!!!! Cary is a special girl with a strong faith and will be the first to tell you that "God is Good."
