Our Last Trip

Dear friends and family,
As most of you who are viewing this know, my father Henry S Piekarski passed away on June 27, 2015 quietly, and peacefully in his home that morning. He has been creamated as well as my late mother Wendy L Piekarski, and my late brother Erik S Piekarski. I am the only surviving member of my immediate family.
My mother born January 17, 1951 was born and raised in California, unfortunately passed away from terminal heart cancer January 25, 2000. She struggled with cancer for 9 months until she finally peacefully passed in her sleep in the comforts of her own home.
My brother born August 28, 1979 never had it easy. Born a bigger baby, and all through out his short time here on earth was always a heavier set man. When he was 24, he had his carrier in line, and was ready to make a life change. He underwent Gastric Bypass surgery in 2004, a week after his 25th birthday. Three weeks later, Erik passed away on September 18, 2004 due to complications.
Both my Mother and my Brother left behind one amazing legacy. They were loved by so many and always lit up the darkest of every room.
From that point on it was me and my Father. Being so young when I had lost my better halves, my father and I finally decided to do our own thing. Mine being here in Chicago, and his being up in Detroit closer to his family. Since that day, our relationship grew the strongest that it had ever been. He was my best friend. My mentor. My hero.
A couple years back when I went to visit him, my father started asking me what I wanted to do with my Mom, Brothers, and his ashes. I told  him, when he passes (which I was hoping would be quite a ways away) I want to take a nation wide trip to the places we all were born, and had lived, special memories, and most importantly, places they had never gotten to see, and spread the ashes. All including Chicago, Detroit, The Great Smokey Mountains (that is one place my dad always wanted to go but never had the chance) Texas, Reno, and ending in California.

I set this page up to ask for support in making this final dream and wish of mine come true. I appreciate everyone who took the time to read this, and made the effort to help.
