Hi my name is Tiffany, I need to ask for help it’s hard for me to reach out for help but my family and I rescued a frenchie that was thrown out on the streets of bowmanville, his name is Frankie. We wanted him to have a good home and to be a happy dog and enjoy life, as of lately he’s been in pain vet said since x rays show misshapen vertebrae on Frankies spine that he is in a flare up, the condition is called hemi vertebra. Anti inflammatories and pain meds are helping right now, but it’s not a long term solution as it can cause him to go through withdrawal so he can only be on it for so long each time. He is only 2 years old vet said he will need to see a neurologist and will need surgery to correct the vertebrae. Having this surgery will be extremely costly any help is appreciated. The shelter we got him from didn’t say anything about this issue I’m not sure if shelters give full work ups or not. I don’t want to have to euthanize him, Frankie is only 2 years old and in that amount of time he wasn’t shown love until he was rescued he is such a great dog and perfect family member who loves so hard.
