A Second Chance for Hank ♥

I don't know what to say, I've never done this, so I'm just going to tell it like I see it. Hank is no ordinary horse, not to us.
My daughter has been riding Hank for over a year and oh how he has changed her world. He has taught her what it means to be responsible and caring for another living soul. He gave to her something she hadn't experienced before, pride and self-esteem. He taught her what it means to be a winner and what it means to not place first with pride and dignity. So you see, not an ordinary horse, but my daughter's friend, companion and champion.
About a week ago, Hank suffered from a severe case of colic. A fatty tumor had wrapped itself around Hank's intestines, strangling it. 4 to 5ft of intestines had to be removed. On this day of emergency surgery, on my drive up to meet with Kelly and Cat, I prayed. I know some of you don't believe in God, but I still do, and yes, I prayed for a "horse". I prayed that Hank would be spared, please don't let him die, please God, I don't think Cat could stand another loss, please. So much more than a horse, her best friend.
And we waited together in the waiting room when surgery was over for Hank to stand up. That hour and a half or so that went by while we waited seemed like an eternity, I almost felt like we were barely breathing. And then there was an answer to my prayer, or by some miracle, if you rather, Hank stood.
Surgery and excellent care has given him a second chance at life, but not without a cost. Miscommunication with the insurance company has left Hank's owner with the huge task of this cost.
We have given all we can. We look to you, our friends, animal lovers, anyone who can understand what it means to care so deeply for another living soul, to donate, small or large to help us keep Hank.
I prayed that day for Hank to live and today I pray once again in the hope that through the generosity of others, our goal will be met and my daughter's fears regarding Hank's future can finally be put to rest.
Please donate if you can, please share. From my heart, thank you.
Please help Hank and in doing so, help my daughter get back in the saddle where she belongs.
