Very recently, Monica has been diagnosed with cancer. She sadly had already undergone hysterectomy surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. It was a life saving decision, but her hopes of conceiving has been terminated. That thought has been devastating emotionally.

Monica and her family need our help now more than ever.

Monica’s journey has only just begun. She currently is in recovery from the hysterectomy surgery. In February she will start undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, all while balancing the emotional and physical challenges of her recovery. In addition to medical treatments the family is facing mounting expenses, including: travel costs for specialized care, taking time off from work, Monica and her family’s daily living expenses and more.

About Monica: she is a sweetheart, a warrior, a hero, vibrant, beautiful, kind hearted with a infectious smile, family oriented, she’s a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friends to so many.. She’s always has been on the go. She works as a Special Ed Teacher, Safety Services at MetLife Stadium and Security at HUMC. Monica is committed to going to gym regularly, consistently putting in the effort to achieve her fitness goals, she’s often considered a “gym rat” due to her dedication.
