I'm Mr. Lobo, a TV host and producer of Cinema Insomnia. Every once in a while, I meet a fan who blows me away with their own talents, artistic potential and personality--And I realize that they have fans in their own field.
One of our big fans, Amber Lily, is an online content creator and we have tapped her for Cinema Insomnia several times. Most recently, voice acting for a couple of our episodes. She even recorded an amazing custom audio relaxation session to help with my chronic Insomnia...ironic, I know. She's always 1000 percent professional and a joy to work with. A hard worker who has a family to take care of, she been struggling along with most independent content creators lately--HOWEVER, there is serious medical burden added to this financial dilemma. Amber has a large growth inside her that needs to be removed. She needs help and starting this fundraiser for her after her years of encouraging support, creative collaboration, and friendship...was honestly, the very least I could do.
Amber did not want to do a GoFundMe, but I gently pushed her to do this to hopefully take some of the pressure off and to show here that her friends, family and fans really care and want to help her get through her surgery and recovery.
Even though she's extremely private and reluctant to accept help or even complain publicly about her tumor and needed surgery, I asked Amber to explain her situation in her own words below...
From Amber:
"On November 4th 2025, I will be undergoing surgery for a total hysterectomy for one really large uterine fibroid (non-cancerous tumor) that’s about the size of an orange. It’s been keeping me from a normal, pain-free life for longer than I’d to admit but was only discovered about six months ago.
This wasn’t a decision that I made lightly, but it’s the right one for me. The last two years have been extremely difficult behind the scenes, and I am definitely ready to take this next very medically necessary step to regain control over my own health and life.
While I do have medical insurance that will cover a portion of the procedure, I’m still left with a large amount to pay out-of-pocket, and I need help with making ends meet while I’m recovering for 4-6 weeks where I will not be able to work. I’m not great at asking for help but figured this is a pretty important thing that I should be asking for help with.
Any support, whether financial or simply through sharing this with others, would mean so much to me. I am intensely appreciative of the kindness and encouragement given to me by my friends and community online. I will definitely be keeping you in the loop with updates on this journey!"
All Systems Go for Amber!
