Baby Ezra was born early at just 33 weeks. Since then he has seemed to have somewhat of an uphill battle.
This sweet baby has undergone a tremendous amount of testing- every test, exam, scan, prick & poke you can imagine. They have determined that Ezra had a stroke and thus has a significant brain hemorrhage. They are not sure of the cause, when it happened, or when/if he will have delays. He will need multiple therapies in the future to monitor and assist his development.
His mama, Jeannie has been by his side nearly the entire time— with short breaks to shower and do her laundry. Her fight and advocation for him is continuous and I admire her dedication so much.
She is incredibly strong— but she is incredibly tired. On top of it all— she found out today that she has lost her health insurance.
Let’s come together as her community and help her through this difficult time. All funds will be used for medical expenses for herself and Ezra, food and gas while she travels back and forth to be with Ezra daily, and the reoccurring expenses that come along with daily life.
We don’t know when Jeannie will be able to return to work, with Ezra still in the NICU and the uncertainty of what it will look like when he is finally able to come home.
I’m Porsha, a close friend of Jeannie. I am advocating for Jeannie during this very difficult time of need; however, all donations will go directly to Jeannie and baby Ezra.
Thank you for all of the thoughts , prayers, words of encouragement, and prayers. They mean so much and are felt daily. Please keep them coming!
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”
Psalms 143:8
