Over one and a half million new cancer cases are diagnosed each year.  You could be healthy, happy, and living your best life, and then it rears its ugly head and puts your world upside down.  Your life now becomes one of Doctor's appointments, treatments, and uncertainty; filling your days with things you never expected to experience.  It becomes harder to do the things you would normally; you're tired, you are emotionally spent and when you look in the mirror it is hard to imagine that you and this is your life.   There is little to nothing anyone can do to make those physical aches subside.  On top of it all, the medical bills start piling up... just another thing to add to the upside-down world you now exist. 

On Tuesday, May 19th, Niky Burr, our sassy, classy and feisty friend, started her journey in the "upside-down."  She is determined to fight like hell and make the best of the cards she has been dealt; showing cancer that it has messed with the wrong chick.  While we cannot help her with the physical journey she is going on, we can help emotionally and fiscally.  This journey is going to be a costly one; anything you can spare would help ease that stress and allow her to focus where she should: on her recovery and not on her pocketbook.

Please note, the funds raised for Niky will go to cover medical bills, fiscal loss due to time away from work, and anything to assist with her recovery.  Any "leftover" funds will be donated to support Cancer Research.
