Help End the Pain for SugarSnack & Snow White

My name is Maureen Stone. Everyone who knows me knows I LOVE animals and hate to see them in pain. I am writing with a very humble heart and a prayer to ask for help for two rescue cats my friend LeesaMaree rescued — SugarSnack and SnowWhite.

Both kitties suffer from severe stomatitis, a painful and debilitating condition that causes constant inflammation in their mouths. Eating hurts. Existing hurts. The only way to relieve their pain is full-mouth extraction of all teeth surgery for each of them. In addition, SnowWhite, a pure white cat rescued after surviving outdoors for a long time, has now developed skin cancer on her ears. She urgently needs partial ear removal surgery to stop the cancer from spreading.

These procedures are medically necessary and time-sensitive.

The cats are safe now. They live indoors with LeesaMaree and are deeply loved and cared for every day — and they will remain with her for the rest of their lives. Hers is their forever home.

LeesaMaree lives on State Disability benefits of $1,262 per month. After rent and basic living expenses, she simply cannot afford two major surgeries for the kitties.

For over 30 years, she rescued and advocated for homeless cats. Asking for help like this is not easy — but the kitties pain is real, and their need is urgent.

SnowWhite and SugarSnack are scheduled for surgery at Colma Animal Hospital in Colma, California on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
