My husband and I were so excited to start our journey to parenthood. After a year of trying, we knew something wasn’t right. Testing revealed that we are both carriers of cystic fibrosis, a genetic condition that can be life-threatening.

Because of this, IVF with genetic testing is the only way to ensure our future baby will be healthy and free from cystic fibrosis. While we are incredibly grateful that science makes this possible, the costs are overwhelming, especially with the extra genetic testing needed.

We’ve already faced mounting medical expenses from testing, consultations, and preparations. IVF is not covered by our insurance, and every step forward comes with another bill.
