Joe is "The Love of my Life". Last July we were married 30 years. It hasn't always been easy but we always managed to pull through and keep our love for each other strong through all of our difficult times. As 2015 approached its end, we were looking forward to the Holidays and the New Year, as we always do. Unfortunately, Joe wasn't feeling well in November. After a doctor visit and some testing Joe was advised by his physician to go to the hospital for more testing. Upon completion of all of the tests, we received the bad news, Joe was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. The good news was that it was treatable with surgery, a procedure known as the Whipple Procedure. With the surgery scheduled for December 16, right before Christmas, we couldn't really think about celebrating the holidays as Joe would be recovering from his surgery. My only wish and the wishes of Joe, our children, family and friends, was that Joe would make it through the surgery and that the doctor would be able to get all the cancer out. Thanks to God, all of your continued prayers and a great surgical team, the surgery was successful. It has now been almost 7 weeks since his surgery and Joe will start his Chemotherapy treatments very soon. The treatments will be for 6 months. Cancer can change your life in so many ways, and the only way to get through it is to pray, take one day at a time, be strong and stay positive. This can be very difficult due to the financial responsibility that goes along with the battle. It is very overwhelming when the regular bills and now medical bills are coming in and you have missed work to be with your loved one. W e would appreciate any donation that you can make to contribute to our goal to help relieve some of the financial burden and the stress that goes along with it. Every little bit will help and will be greatly appreciated along with your continued prayers. May God Bless each and every one of you and keep you healthy and safe. With Sincere Thanks and Much Love to All! Joe and Marianne.
