HELP MEL GET WELL!

There are people you meet that will change your life. There are people you meet that have bigger, bolder, and more vibrant ways of living. I want to introduce you to a special someone I have had the gift of sharing her remarkable life. Meet Mel; she has magical energy, dedication and drive some only wish to hold, and most importantly, a giver to all. Cancer has tried to burn out her flame for the last time. Her discipline and grace were in full force at the beautiful age of 20 when Cancer knocked her off her feet the first. Mel grew up as an aspiring dancer you couldn’t take your eyes off of. Putting herself through college wasn’t going to hold Mel back, epically after kicking cancer's ass the first time. Mel took life by the hands and danced her way around the world. Mel was just getting started, living her fullest life. Wanting to keep learning, she set out to get her Master's. Again, all on her own. Fast forward to a few years ago… struggling medical issues began to arise again, culminating in a second cancer diagnosis in January 2020. After 9 months of treatment, Mel was cleared by the end of the year! We celebrated and cheered for the last couple of years was anything shy of difficult (for anyone)on top of dealing with Cancer, again. Can I remind you that this woman has kept her head held high with pride, beauty and grace before, during, and after every day of her life. Mel works as a wellness professional at a retirement community; observing how the people she serves approach life makes her eager to enjoy every moment of her own. She is someone who has inspired, empowered and shared more compassion for others than most. Here we are today, and Cancer has come back a third time which means she is back on chemotherapy… Unfortunately, chemo is expensive, and nothing has been exactly easy. There is a surgery that will take Mel 6 weeks to recover and out from work… (sigh of exhaustion).
There is a silver lining to all this chaos. This operation will allow her to live her life without pain or worry. A gift that I hope I can help her with. This is where I ask you to help me give the gift of life back to Mel. Help Mel get well. This surgery will allow her to be the bold, beautiful, magnificent human being that I know and so many others know her to be. She truly is magnificant. There are too many people she hasn’t had the opportunity to touch yet. With your help, you will be instrumental in allowing her to spread joy, positivity and encourage excellent wellbeing again.
If you are able, please help me give the gift of life. This surgery can happen much sooner than expected, and medical bills have an ugly way of growing exponentially. I have a month to help Mel raise enough to cover her medical bills and support her while she is out of work. I know this is a difficult time for everyone and giving isn’t always an option. Please know your generosity will be paid forward every day with kindness, compassion, patience, understanding and love. If you are unable, please share with everyone you can. Share Mel’s story, spread the word so I we can Help Mel get well. She is one of my most amazing and beautiful friends. For I am inspired by her ability to push through near impossible days with the momentum that could move mountains. Three strikes you’re out Cancer.

Thank you, for taking the time out of your day to read the story of a person who deserves to live a bold, proud filled life, with joy and compassion for herself and others for many years to come.
From my heart to yours, thank you.
