My name is John Morrone and I'd like to take a minute to personally explain this campaign as there has been some confusion regarding who I am and who Maria is.
I have been very close friends with Earl Vought for over 20+ years and have known Abel since his first day working for Earl at Superior Landscaping. Earl is the Godfather to 2 of Abel's children. When this tragedy occurred, Earl called me as he was leaving the hospital to tell me that this was Abel's children. Like any other situation when one of us is in need we circle the wagon and help wherever we can and immediately decided we needed to do something with all of our resources. We decided the only way aside from our prayers to help was to raise money for this family to lessen any financial hardship they may face. I called my office to have my staff start a GoFundMe page. I personally do not use Facebook so my executive assistant allowed us to use hers until we could get it set up. The purpose was to get the campaign live asap to begin raising money. Please understand we are not proffessional fund raisers and have never started something like this before but I can assure everyone that 100% of these funds are going to Abel's family for whatever they may need it for. I hope this clears up any confusion. I personally thank everyone who has contributed.
