Yozef M. Ben Yehudah - Update on continued Stroke recovery

Since my Stroke on November 15, 2020; I deeply appreciate all the help and love I have
received thus far and I am extremely grateful! I am truly blessed by my extended
work-family in my life, along with my family members and friends throughout different
time periods in my life; both current & past.
On January 24, 2021; under the care of my PCP, I submitted an extension on my OFLA
from February 8, 2021 to May 9, 2021. I am looking forward to returning to work yet my
recovery process is taking a bit longer than anticipated. I thank my employer at
Northwest Eye Care Professionals (NWECP) for approving this extension request. The
management & doctors/owners have made me feel like a family member & I am so
thankful for being blessed with them in my life, I am thankful to my co-workers, my
friends and family! Everybody has shown me so much love & prayers!
My PCP has determined I will need more time to recover for follow up medical care as
well as rehabilitative physical therapy and speech/eating therapy. My hope is that my
recovery will enable me to return to work before May 9, 2021.
I have started my physical, speech & cognitive therapy at OHSU rehabilitative services
as referred to me by my Neurologist at the OHSU stroke center & my PCP.
I have been examined by Dr. Max (Neuro-Optometrist) at the NWECP Beaverton office
and have begun both Light Therapy & Vision Therapy and look forward to returning to
work.
On November 15th, our dear Yozef was taken to the hospital by ambulance due to a stroke. This happened after being back at work for just 2 days, from having to take an extended medical leave to care for his wonderful wife, Leah. This has been a hard year for them both healthwise and financially. We are putting together this GoFundMe to help assist them with hospital bills, cost of living while being out of work again and for future medical costs. Yozef and Leah have a 6 year old daughter who is their entire world and needs them both to be healthy for years to come. Please donate any amount you can so we can help to reduce at least some of the stress. This family is very loved by many many people and they give that love back ten fold. Thank you.
