Youth With A Mission Discipleship Training

I am so excited to share with you what I will be doing this fall! The Lord has placed an opportunity for me to be a part of YWAM (Youth With A Mission) this September 2021 through February 2022. I will be doing a discipleship training school in Tijuana, Mexico for three months and then taking what I’ve learned to another community across the globe the following three months; this place is yet to be assigned. I will be going for photo storytelling, where I will be learning, growing, and sharing the gospel alongside other passionate photographers who all have the mission to make Jesus known.

I have felt called to ministry for a while, but always pushed it to the side in pursuit of my own path. These last two years I have learned so much about what it means to truly trust the Lord. I have faced a lot of physical and mental challenges and realized I had to let go of the control that I thought I had over my life. Dreams I thought were mine were not aligned with what the Lord had in store for me. Through the struggles, time and time again, the Lord overwhelmed me with his goodness and His promises. I have learned to embrace the peace that comes with trusting and pursuing the Lord’s will above everything else. Yes, with this comes persecution and doubt, but the Lord keeps His promises and provides through it all. Letting go of the world's view on success and letting go of my own vision for life has allowed me to see the opportunities that the Lord placed in front of me. After praying for two months about YWAM, I finally took the leap of faith to sign up and trust.

I am so excited to have a whole six months dedicated to growth in community, getting to learn more about who God is and experience what He’s doing through other cultures. I get the opportunity to meet other believers from all over the world and share this life changing experience with them. I will be coming home with so many new leadership skills and a whole new appreciation for who God is.
