Following our successful "Rowing for education ", in 2026 we are raising the bar by challenging ourselves in a very special triathlon to support 10 "Youth Water Ambassadors " in Panama.
Who We Are:
We're a group of four women, ranging from 45 to 65 years young, gearing up for our second challenge: our own-style triathlon on and along the margins of the Ebro River (Spain). During four days, we will hike, bike and row to support the educational project "Youth Water Ambassadors".
What We're Doing:
From 16 to 19 July 2026, we'll bike between Alcañiz and Bot, hike until Miravet and row down to Sant Jaume d'Enveja to raise funds for 10 students in Panama to become Young Water Ambassadors. With your support, the students will participate in a workshop aimed at the design of a scientific project around water. With the support of Biocultural Learning, students will develop and implement their projects in their communities, and become water ambassadors and future mentors for a subsequent cohort of students.
Why We're Doing It:
Water conservation is everybody's responsibility, and we all have our role to play in raising awareness about the current challenges we face. With your support, we'll fund the scientific training of the students and the implementation of their projects, empowering them to become leaders in their communities. Through this project, students will work towards a common cause through their own scientific projects, benefiting their communities and contributing to raising awareness of some of the environmental problems that affect us all.
How You Can Join Our Challenge:
Are you a hiker? Or a bike fan? Or do you find rowing more inspiring? Support the discipline(s) of your choice with your chosen amount to help the students become water ambassadors. Every cent will be entirely donated to the project, as we will cover our own expenses as our donation to the project.
