Youth Support Uganda - Volleyball Court Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Roy and I'm fundraising for Youth Support Uganda (YSU), which is a project of HopeBuilders International. YSU is working alongside youth in local Ugandan communities and empowering them through life coaching and training, mentor programs, social justice programs and recreational empowerment programs. Volleyball is a growing sport in Uganda, and it is proving to be a great way for YSU to build relationships with the young people of the area of Jinja. I want to raise money to build a paved volleyball court for these young people in Uganda. Volleyball is something that has been close to my heart for the last 34 years, and to hear that it can be a tool for empowering young people in Uganda; this has prompted me to find a way to help. The need for an outside paved volleyball court is something that would draw in the youth of Jinja and they would be able to train properly and not be so weather dependent. The funds that we raise will be used to pay for the pavers and labour required to construct the paved volleyball court. I will be heading over to Uganda in September this year and I will report back firsthand on how your donations have been used, and the impact that you have made on the youth of Uganda.
