Youth Summer Camp and Backpack Drive 2023

We would like to send a huge "Thank You" to all of the donors who supported us with over $1800 that was used towards the summer camp and Backpack Giveaway. At the Backpack Giveaway we were able to give 445 backpacks filled with school supplies that covered half of child's school supply list. With out our donors generous donations we couldn't have made it possible for those 445 Pueblo Youth to start their school year off right!!!!!

We are now transitioning this fundraiser to our 5th Annual Winter Coat giveaway. We find it will be easier to use this original fundraiser and just update it so that we may access the funds on time to purchase winter coats for the event.

Last year we able to provide 275 winter coats along with scarves, gloves and hats. This year we are anticipating 400 to 450 pueblo youth in need of these winter items. We are now asking for your assistance in helping Halfway Home Pueblo in Spreading the warmth to our Pueblo Youth. It takes a community to raise a child and no child should suffer without.

Summer is a very critical time to support our youth to keep them on the right path, to inspire them to be their best, and, most importantly, to keep them out of harm's way. The Halfway Home Youth Resource Center, inspired by NBA great, Roland "Fatty" Taylor, is committed to providing the youth of Pueblo, Colorado, with the resources and services essential to helping them prepare for a successful future.

We launched our first summer camp 5 years ago with only 8 kids. This year our enrollment has increased by 550%. We have 52 kids so far that need your help. But our mission doesn't end there. With your support, we will continue to provide food, transportation services, tutoring, mentoring, after-school programs, clothing, backpacks and school supplies throughout the entire year. Last year 275 school-aged kids received new backpacks filled with school supplies. This year we anticipate 350+ kiddos. We are pleased with the growth of our programs and want to expand even more, but will need additional support.

We created Halfway Home Pueblo, a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth organization, to apply our experiences in overcoming obstacles and building strong family values to educate youth about life skills and the unspoken roles of society.
