Youth Rising Together: Indigenous Youth Rally Against Bill 5
Donation protected
We are Youth Rising Together — a grassroots collective of Indigenous youth from across Northern Ontario. We are rising to protect our rights, our voices, and our future in the face of two harmful pieces of legislation: Bill 5 and Bill C-5.
This rallying effort will bring together youth, Elders, and allies to stand against:
- Bill 5: Protecting Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act, 2025
- Bill C-5: The One Canadian Economy Act
These bills prioritize economic growth over Indigenous rights and sovereignty. They threaten land stewardship, weaken environmental protections, and ignore the duty to consult Indigenous Nations. As youth, we refuse to sit silently while decisions are made that will directly impact our lands, our futures, and our communities.
On June 6th, we hosted our first rally in Timmins, igniting a strong movement in the North. More rallies are planned throughout June.
But now, our goal is to get to Queen’s Park.
From June 29th to July 2nd, we are organizing a trip to Toronto to stand in solidarity and raise our voices directly where these decisions are being made — at Queen’s Park.
We are raising funds to:
- Rent a 55-passenger bus to bring youth, Elders, and supporters from Timmins and surrounding areas
- Cover travel, food, and accommodations
- Provide rally materials, banners, and other supplies
- Ensure the safety and coordination of our group
This isn’t just a trip. This is a movement.
A movement for justice, truth, sovereignty, and future generations.
We are organizing with care, purpose, and heart — but we need your support to get there.
Every donation gets us one step closer to Queen’s Park. Every share amplifies our voices.
Chi-miigwetch / Thank you for standing with Indigenous youth.
Excess funds will be used for future rallies!
