Claire's Class Afloat Exchange
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Claire. I'm 15 years old and from Western Australia. I was recently accepted to Class Afloat an exchange program developed in response to a call from the United Nations to create a program that develops global citizenship and leadership in young people from across the world. They accept 48 students aged 16 - 20 each academic year and as September 2025 I will be one of them.
I have been learning how to be a leader since the age of ten when I became the youth leader of my scout unit, since then I have only grown in my skills and now jointly lead state and nation wide leadership development courses for youth aged 11 - 15. My leadership skills also extend to the world of adventure with them being combined with my love of sailing, I often find myself in charge of people far older than me.
This program is important to me due to the massive impact I know it will have on my development as a person, the funds raised will contribute to my school fees, flights, uniforms, and visas and all other expenses required for my to be able to participate in my life changing program.
