Help Empower Chicago Youth through Education and Technology!

Welcome to our 1st Annual Back-To-School GoFundMe Campaign in support of a local Chicago organization, Youth Connection Charter Schools (YCCS) and their digital learning initiatives. We are the Guardian Chicago Regional Group Office, a team of dedicated employee benefit individuals committed to also making a positive impact in our community. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to provide much-needed Netbook laptops for YCCS students, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed in the digital classroom.

Youth Connection Charter School (YCCS) is a not-for-profit educational organization, partnering with community-based organizations that have served Chicago neighborhoods for the past 40 years. YCCS provides students Not Just a Second Chance… But a BETTER Chance. With one of the highest-ranked high school SQRP (School Quality Rating Policy) in the city of Chicago, YCCS students create their own future, using their Better Chance to achieve academic and real-world learning success.

YCCS has continued to provide its students with a personalized world-class education in an urban setting. Their Competency-based curriculum provides the opportunity for every YCCS student to graduate with a diploma and confidence to demonstrate their mastery of the core competencies that are essential for academic and personal success, every student is prepared for college, careers, and beyond. YCCS students not only perform academically but also change their trajectory from hopelessness and poverty to self-efficacy and achievement.

Why Netbook Laptops?

Netbooks are small, portable, and affordable laptops designed specifically for educational purposes. They play a crucial role in bridging the digital divide for students, allowing them to access online resources, collaborate with peers, and engage with educational materials effectively. With your support, we can provide 20 netbook laptops, each valued at approximately $250, directly benefiting YCCS students.

How Your Contribution Helps

Your donation will go directly towards purchasing the netbook laptops. We will meet with reputable vendors to ensure we get the best possible value for our budget. Once the laptops are acquired, our Guardian team will personally deliver them to various YCCS locations, witnessing firsthand the joy and excitement on the faces of these deserving students.
