Hi Everyone, my name is Jenson Ford and I have been training and preparing for the great eastern run on October 12th 2025 half marathon 13.2miles for the Charity HemiHelp known as Contact(Website).

I am running this as myself. I have Hemiplegia also known as Cerebral palsy this is a disability I’ve had since birth. This affects my right arm and leg and my back, as I can’t extend my arm to its full extension, I can’t twist my wrist/arm and my leg I don’t have full movement and my muscles are lot weaker in my right side of my body compared to my left.

Since I was born I’ve had back surgery I had to raise money to go to America to get this done and this was a tough time for myself and my whole family. I’ve had in total of 8 surgery’s on my body including my back, my right leg, right arm and this has been such a massive part of my life since I was born as I used to be in a wheelchair and without my family and support through family friends and all these surgeries I wouldn’t be standing on my feet and being able to take part in this event.

I am running this for the HemiHelp charity regarding to Hemiplegia to help the children and young to get the support and help,they need to show that even if you have Hemiplegia anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself and put your mind to it. Also, to overcome these challenges they’re facing as growing up and to get the youth to the best possible versions of themselves and I want to make this happen!
