The Future Flooring Specialists (FFS) Program is a skills-building program created by the YourFloorMan, Inc. non-profit organization. The program seeks to be a catalyst in the Memphis and Mid-south work force development arena by providing our young adults with the skills necessary to obtain certification and gainful employment as a Floor Covering Specialist in the flooring industry. Simply said, young males ages 16-25 in Memphis, TN are in unprecedented crisis. In addition to chronic school absenteeism, increased gang participation, rising incarceration and employability numbers on the decline, recent reports have also confirmed that Memphis has the LOWEST High School graduation rates of Black & Latino males in the Mid-South.
The FFS program has a curriculum based format that includes removal and installation of hard wood flooring, ceramic tile, carpet and shower systems. The students are taught in a classroom setting by certified instructors three days a week at the Thomas B. Davis YMCA. Internships are being established.

This program is in its second year and God is doing great things. We have more students and they are just as eager to learn and become a success.
