Your Support is Urgently Needed!!!
Rescue Angels acted on a call Sunday evening dealing with an injured cat who was found lying in someone's window well and moved to a safer place under a tree. Since the poor thing had difficulty moving, a decision was made to take her to a emergency hospital to determine her injuries.
So far, examinations and testing have revealed that this brown tabby girl, approximately three to five years old, is displaying neurological issues. On initial investigation it was noted that she is unable to stand or walk. Her temperature is elevated but no bruising was noted and paws/nails are intact.
Initial testing showed possible internal bleeding, as well a swelling or inflammation in the brain caused by infection, a mass, or trauma. X-rays show some trauma to the lungs.
She is presently being monitored in intensive care and is receiving 24 hour care, medications, as well as IV. After less than one day, her emergency care has totaled $2700. Part of her next series of tests will include an MRI - this alone carries a $3500 cost.
We realize that times are tough all the way around. Any support through donations in helping us fight the good fight for this little girl are always appreciated. As you know, Rescue Angels is a non profit cat rescue that receives absolutely no funding. We can only help when we have supporters like you.
