Today's challenge: use your spare change to initiate a life change!

Once upon a time, a humble and extraordinarily gracious person endured a series of traumatic events that’ve impacted the course of her life: a trusted person took advantage of her; she lost her beloved father; was unexpectedly laid off from her job (losing her only source of income); and now faces losing her car, her home, and her beloved fur babies who she desperately wants to keep; they’re her family. These changes would be devastating by themselves, but together, coupled with the time of year, have presented exceptional challenges that are proving to be monumental.

Despite her efforts to make arrangements with creditors, she’s fallen behind and needs a boost to get back on her feet. She’s too proud to ask for help herself, so I've jumped in to share her story. (She’d do the same for me if our roles were reversed!) It’s my hope that the kind generosity of friends and strangers will help turn things around for this wonderful human. I could elaborate on all of the reasons she’s worthy of your generosity, but I’ll bluntly sum this up by telling you she’s a hard worker with integrity, and did nothing to deserve facing homelessness, joblessness, and the prospect of having to rehome her fur babies. Even the smallest act of generosity has the potential to ease the burdens and stress she’s facing.

In a perfect world, we would quickly connect with 500 kind souls, each able to contribute just $10. Please know that every contribution -- even a single dollar -- can help put this deserving soul back on her feet. She’s actively seeking employment and is determined (correction: more like hell bent!) to make this a one-time ask. And, if I’m technical, she didn’t ask at all, I did. Seeing someone undeservedly struggle just isn’t my style and I’m willing to bet, it’s not yours, either.

For less than the cost to rent a movie or buy a gourmet coffee, your contribution will help save this woman's home, get her to her new job, and keep some kibble in the bowls of her precious fur babies.
