Nicole Argento is a devoted single mom who has always put her family first. Recently, what seemed like a routine visit to urgent care for a possible UTI turned into a life-altering experience. After some initial tests, the urgent care doctor urged Nicole to go to the ER for further evaluation. There, scans revealed devastating news; Nicole was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Within a week, she underwent surgery, and her world changed overnight.

Nicole’s doctors discovered that her cancer is very aggressive, and has metastasized, spreading throughout her abdomen. This has made her diagnosis even more overwhelming and urgent. Nicole is now facing the unimaginable challenge of fighting cancer while trying to keep her life together for her son and boyfriend James Mancini. She is in the process of applying for disability to help cover her rent and utilities, but the mounting doctor and hospital bills are becoming overwhelming. She is starting Chemotherapy this week and is doing everything she can to stay strong for her loved ones; but she needs support from her community now more than ever.

To help Nicole and her family, her mother and her dear friend Mary are organizing a benefit event on April 18th from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at the local Manahawkin Moose Lodge. The event will include a full dinner, open bar, 50/50 and basket auction to raise additional funds for Nicole's care. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door, through Zelle or Venmo under her mom Donna Argento. There will be flyers around town with QR codes for Venmo and Zelle for the tickets and on Facebook.
