Your help is needed to honor Michelle Gens
Donation protected
If you had the honor of knowing Michelle Gens, you likely smiled a little through your sadness when you remembered her recently. She was kind, thoughtful and loved to laugh. She adored her 3 daughters and her partner, Brad.
Michelle was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer in 2019, and although she battled with valiant strength with her loved ones by her side, she departed our world peacefully on Monday, September 25th.
As Michelle's daughters, Makena, Anna and Lucy are mourning this deep loss and transitioning into their new life without her, we are reaching out to the community for support.
Although the family has been able to cover the majority of Michelle's medical expenses throughout the cancer treatments, funds were not able to be set aside for a memorial service. The thought of losing Michelle without being able to honor her memory is heartbreaking for the girls.
In addition to the desire for a memorial service, Anna and Lucy are moving into a new home and have just started high school. Makena has just started college at Mankato and will be balancing life on campus with strong ties back to her sisters in Blaine. These monumental milestones come with unplanned expenses.
Although we may not have Michelle here with us, she is alive in her girls and those who loved her.
