Pastor Keith Atwood's Kidney Transplant

As many of you know, the last few years Pastor Keith Atwood has been fighting a physical battle.  Dealing with Polycystic Kidney Disease has been a challenge.  Throughout it all, Pastor Keith has remained focused on God and continues to Pastor at New Beginnings Family Church in Lapeer, MI full time as well as work part time.  He and his wife Judy are dedicated members of the Lapeer community and pray and intercede regularly for their city.

A while back, Pastor Keith was officially placed on the transplant list to receive a new kidney.  During this process his son-in-law Steve Elzerman believed that he would be the living donor match for Pastor Keith.  After much testing and a trip to the Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh, Steve was a confirmed match and is set to donate a healthy kidney to Pastor Keith on January 17, 2019.  The transplant will take place at the Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Both Pastor Keith and Steve will be unable to work for an extended period of time.  Steve and his wife Katie are parents to three very small children and Katie will be taking a leave from work as well to help care for her husband and father.

Pastor Keith and Judy as well as Steve and Katie have given so much of themselves to help others.  Steve and Katie are the Youth Ministers at New Beginnings Family Church and strive to reach our youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Pastor Keith and Judy have dedicated their lives to give of themselves to others and minister to those in need.  

If you feel led, please give to these families so that the financial burden will be light and they can focus their time and attention on healing.  The finances raised here will be split between the Atwood and Elzerman families.
