Your help and compassion could save my Tio Bobby

Hi everyone, it's Cindy your favorite Pink human.

I ask to my beloved Friends, my extended family, acquittances and even strangers that see this post to give from their heart to help another. From the bottom of my PINK heart I ask that you show compassion in a world of self... Please help me bridge the gap by giving the gift of health and peace to one who desperately needs it... My Tio/Uncle Bobby. It doesn't take much, the price of two coffee's, a lunch or a night out can help keep him in decent living conditions which is a far stretch from where he was with a small space lacking proper living amenities most of us take for granted. Like access to a toilet, which became almost no access at all when covid hit and the world shut down. This has caused possible damaging medical issues as well as the lack of the will to eat as often as one should if at all. We just need to cover roughly 3-6 weeks of housing now that I/we have got the ball rolling by exhausting efforts but, unfortunately are bound by the government's slow going processes, especially due to Covid restraints adding even further delays by taking an extra 2-3 times as long to get to us. This will put myself and my family past our collective means to keep him housed. Please HELP me and my family keep him off the street and get him the medical and mental care that my Tio Bobby needs.

On August 13 we went to asses the situation... Upon arrival I/we came to find my Tio was malnourished, seriously socially disconnected and a tad disoriented . His lack of restroom access led him to intestinal difficulties preventing him from eating much at all and in turn worsened other existing medical issues he suffers from. We pulled together to rent him in a hotel for 3 days while we fortunately with the efforts of my Mommy, Tia's and Tio we were able to get a weeks worth of vouchers from the county for a motel and are trying to get an extension. This has been very painful mentally and physically for all of us with lots of leg work to get him into better living conditions for the time being and inevitably the medical care needed to be independent again which I wholePINKheartedly believe he is capable of doing.

I have been spending as much time as I can... some days better than others. Today I asked him..... Do you want to get better?.... With apprehension and under his shallow breaths he told me Yes... I asked him do you know you can get better with help? ... again he told me YES. This may seem little to some people but when I spoke with him originally 11 days ago he didn't think he was going to live longer then the hour he was in, I showed him the time and made him understand it's been hours and your still here, The hopelessness in his face last week as we drove him from place to place to get him treatment and housing was heartbreaking.. So I made it my mission to contact every avenue of help I could find. With increasing Covid numbers, it has put more and more barriers in the way with offices being closed and long stents of waiting on hold be told no or that they can't help us. But ya'll know me.. Once this Pinknado gets going, there is no stopping it and I found the limited resources that offered to help. Even when they technically shouldn't have. This is my Tio he deserves a chance to be whole again... this is all possible as he is already approved for assisted living. But due to all the delays caused by the unfound documents needing to be ordered, there is approximately going to be a 3-6 week gap after the assistance vouchers run out. Possibly leading to a detrimental situation to his health and well being. as appose to receiving the proper medical care at a facility. The latter is already approved with supporting documentation in process. Time is of the essence and your generous compassion can ultimately save another.

Again from the bottom of my Pink heart I thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to hear my story... I believe with a little love and compassion for one another we can conquer this feat and save a beautiful human and make him whole again.

I Love you All,

Cindy (Pinky)
