Your donation helps Ron DeVera with medical costs

Ron DeVera passed away last evening. His heart gave out after a tough struggle with a fast growing cancer. Ron was our much-loved local barber, often found with his dog Pepper at his shop in Gualala. Most of you know that Ron successfully battled pancreatic cancer after his diagnosis in 2005. He was grateful for his second chance, embodied a positive attitude, and often made himself available to others struggling with cancer. Sadly, Ron was recently diagnosed both with lung cancer and heart issues. Even with health insurance, there were still medical bills and costs for medicine over what insurance will provide, traveling costs due to the distance of Gualala to specialists' care, and costs due to loss of work for both Ron and his partner Kathy Grace. All donations will be used to pay for medical and burial expenses and will be greatly appreciated.
