Young Voices Academy Concert Band

My name is Heather Barnes and I am the band director at PS 357 Young Voices Academy in the Bronx, NY.  I have the opportunity to begin the first concert band  at Young Voices Academy, I am very excited for the students to experience music in a different way. 

Unfortunately, many of the students at this Title 1 school can not afford to pay the rental fees for these instruments. Yearly rental fees range from $130-$289.

I am trying my best to financially support these students, as we do not want to turn students away from band simply over family finances.

Any amount of donation will help, even as small as $1.
