Help Young Strong Mothers Foundation raise $35,000 for Rebuilding Girls' Future.

Young Strong Mother’s Foundation (YSMF) envisions a world where every adolescent girl gets access to quality education regardless of family background or personal challenges. YSMF stands as a bridge to various opportunities for most vulnerable young mothers, so that they can step into their power and create opportunities for themselves, their families and their community. YSMF’s goal is to identify, support, train and connect vulnerable adolescent girls and young mothers to economic and social support services to support their wellbeing and help them achieve their full potential.

In Tanzania, where YSMF works, there is a national crisis on climate change. Drought has caused many families to lack food due to crop failure. Adolescent girls and their families lack access to water and basic needs. Many girls have been married off due to economic constraints posed by multiple crises. YSMF works to reduce school dropout and early and forced marriage—exacerbated by droughts in Tanzania, due to climate change—by providing education materials to adolescent girls to help cover school related costs.

Through this project, YSMF will support 500 out-of-school girls and those who are at risk of dropping out of school. As part of this project, YSMF will support 100 girls to return to school after dropping out due to pregnancy. YSMF will provide these girls with education materials and provide training on life skills, sexual and reproductive health, personal development, and leadership throughout the year. The girls will also be provided with sanitary pads to enable them to attend school at all times.

Additionally, YSMF will engage 200 men and boys in supporting girls in their community by involving them in sports activities and training them on sexual and reproductive health, life skills and providing psycho-social support.

Through this project YSMF aims to:

 - Give immediate access for girls to schools through provision of school materials for those from low income households
 - Increase girls’ access and awareness of sexual and reproductive health services and information through after school programs and community training sessions
 - Increase self awareness and agency through life skills education
 - Decrease teenage pregnancy and early child marriages
 - Reduce gender based violence

Join us and invest in girls' education to provide girls a chance to fulfill their potential.
